Running on Canadian National's Oakville Subdivision at Aldershot, Ont., with an eastbound Extra on May 17, 1958, CPR P2f Mikado No. 5397 was taking advantage of trackage rights dating to April 1896, when this Troronto-Hamilton line was operated by CNR predecessor Grand Trunk. The CPR 2-8-2 will run over the CNR as far as Canpa, 8.4 miles west of Toronto Union Station, where it will regain Canadian Pacific trackage for a dogleg north to the Galt Sub. and the last few miles into Lambton Yard.
