Twenty-four miles down the track to the east of Fargo is Hawley, Minnestoa, where the Winnipeg line leaves the transcontinental mainline. Here we see train 123 again accelerating away from the Hawley depot heading west to Fargo. If on time it is 4:47 p.m. on this July 10, 1965. Today's car is B-32, another RDC-2 purchased secondhand from the Western Pacific where it was their 376. RDC's were quite rare in the West, the NP operating them longer than any of the other western roads. (J.J. Buckley)
